It works on both cups, left and right. No other tool is needed. It has a square cut-out for a 1/2" drive ratchet. It also has a hole drilled at the collar to fit a pry bar such as a big screw driver. WORTH IT! BTW: Niagara Cycle is a terrific dealer and highly recommended.
Slips too easilyMarch 25, 2010 thom74 I had a hard time getting this tool to stay in place on a tight bottom bracket. It slipped and stripped the BB cup a little. The Shimano version has a lip that makes slippage less likely.
